Plainfield Junior Woman’s Club

Our Mission

Plainfield Junior Woman’s Club (PJWC) was founded in 2008 by Karyn Charvat in Plainfield, IL, as a non for profit organization, dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer services. PJWC provides an opportunity for women to network toward common goals and mutual interests. Women involved in our organization will also gain personal growth through leadership training and development. PJWC is a Subsidiary of General Federation of Women’s Club of Illinois (GFWC). This organization is one of the largest service organizations, and we are proud to be one of 250 clubs in Illinois. PJWC is recognized by the IRS as a charitable organization and holds a 501C3 status. We are always looking for new members to join us. Reach out to us today to check us out!

Our Projects

Fall Fundraiser

Each fall our group hosts a fundraising event in order to support high school senior girls in the Plainfield school district that have served as positive examples within their community through service hours

Purses for a Purpose

A local favorite is our purses for a purpose event that is typically held at the end of February each year. This makes for a great ladies night out, while shopping gently used purses and other goodies.

Shop with a Cop

This event is a fundraiser that is put on by the Plainfield Police Department in which we partner with them to help wrap holiday gifts for deserving and well behaved kids in the Plainfield school districts

Spring Fundraiser

Our largest fundraiser each year is our Spring fundraiser. There is a local scavenger hunt that anyone who is local can participate in, that is meant to support local businesses. Awards from this scavenger hunt are then recognized at our Spring Fundraiser banquette. Funds from this event will be going to support the following local charities: Rich en Deed, Humanitarian Services Project and Eliza’s Angels for Spring 2024
