Arts & Culture
Promotes and supports art and cultural programs. They create projects that include crafts, dance, drama, food, music, and other manifestations of art and culture that develop skills, awareness and appreciation. This committee is designed to inspire women and ignite within them a desire to make the world a more beautiful, thoughtful, and caring place
Civil Engagement and Outreach
Take actions that will create a better quality of life and foster a sense of community – locally, regionally, nationally, and globally. This Community Service Program highlights and encourages citizenship; crime prevention, safety, and disaster preparedness; the needy, hungry, and homeless; and our military personnel and veterans
Education and Libraries
Promotes, outlines, and updates the criteria for the issuance of the GFWC IL Plainfield Junior Women’s Club Scholarship to local high schools. The Committee reviews all scholarship applications received and makes the final decision on scholarship award recipients. The Committee acts as the liaison between the Club and the Plainfield School District 202 in regard to helping in-need students and families.
Environment
Encourage to become stewards of the earth by working to preserve the world’s resources, protect wildlife and domesticated animals, live sustainably, and beautify our communities and enjoy nature.
Health & Wellness
Informing the membership on all matters concerning health: nutrition, disease prevention, and physical and emotional care
Fundraising
The chairperson(s) shall organize Fundraising Program(s) (Spring and Fall Fundraisers).
Philanthropy
Presents their recommended recipient or list of recipients for fundraising purposes and reviews any individual requests throughout the year
